How to Take Care of Soutache Jewellery
Soutache Jewellery is not something you wear regularly
or on a daily basis. It is not resilient enough to tolerate the wear and tear of say housework, and should be worn
for short periods or on special occasions.
- If you do want to wear the Jewellery at home, make sure you do not wear it while doing the dishes or engaging in any kind of work that involves the use of water
- Another reason why Soutache Jewellery should be worn carefully is because it can get dirty very easily when it comes into contact with other objects, liquid. As such, keep this beautiful Jewellery for those special occasions.
- When wearing this Jewellery for special occasions, ensure that it is the last thing you wear. In essence, you should wear it after you are done styling your hair, wearing your clothes and makeup, and after you have washed your hands after using all these products. Any contact with cosmetics, hairspray or perfume can cause irreparable damage to strings pearls, turquoise and others.
- Do not wear this Jewellery when going swimming, while working out.
- Do not wear this jewellery when going to the beach as the fabrics are sensitive to sunlight and may fade or become discoloured
- Store Soutache Jewellery separately from other jewellery because of its ability to get scratched easily. I recommend storing Jewellery in gift box which comes together with it.
- If storing in a different box, first put a layer of cotton, place the jewelry on it, and then place another layer of cotton on top of it. You may then close the box and keep it.
- Jewellery can crack or snap if dropped from a height.
How to Clean Soutache Jewelry
·
If spot cleaning is necessary all of my Soutache
Jewellery work can be hand-washed. While I cannot guarantee that the stain
will always come out, hand-washing in warm water with small amount of very mild
detergent and extremely gentle scrubbing will not hurt it
- After washing lay the Jewellery flat on layers of paper towels and firmly blot to remove excess moisture. Let it air-dry in the desired shape.
- Jewellery should never be put in the dryer.
- I do not recommend air drying outside as the fabrics are sensitive to sunlight and may fade or become discoloured. Be sure that your Jewellery is completely dry before storing it.
By
following the aforementioned steps, you can protect your Soutache Jewellery for a longer time, and flaunt it
whenever You desire.
